  • Michaella (Yu Gyoung) Park, LPC

    Michaella is a bilingual (English/Korean) Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Her ideal client are teens,  young adults and adults who have been struggling with Substance use disorder, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Life transition, and Adjustment issues for immigrants. Michaella is specialized in trauma-focused treatments by building grounding skills and healthy coping mechanisms along with the cognitive processing of the trigger and trauma history. She believes that opening the memory box needs to be followed up with appropriate skills to close the box when you want to avoid retraumatizing.  She uses theory oriented DBT and CBT to help clients.

    Michaella has a Master degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University in Texas. Currently is working in her PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision.
