Medication Management

Medication management is an important aspect of treating mental health conditions. It involves prescribing, monitoring and adjusting medications to optimize their benefits while ensuring safety for the person.

The first step is to do a comprehensive evaluation of your symptoms for our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. After the evaluation is done, the provider will determine the diagnosis.

The provider will prescribe the appropriate medication and will discuss with you risk and benefits of the medication. The provider will  also provide education about possible side effects, and offer changes in life style as part of your treatment. Feel free to take all questions you have about the medication to the provider. 

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will monitor the effectiveness of the treatment, will provide follow ups and adjust medication as needed.
